FTD stands for Frontal-Temporal Dementia, a condition where certain areas of the brain atrophy over time, impacting the entire person.

Susan is dealing with changes that impact her memory, language, and speech-- a condition known as Primary Progressive Aphasia. And yet, she is a vibrant personality who loves art and music, a proud "Gigi" to her grandchildren, and a great life-partner!
